Oh goodness. Grass. These signs made me hate grass so much for a while x3;

They also taught me that line-less is both easy and hard at the same time!

Yeah line-less painting is a bit tricky. You have to look at you picture as a whole and you need to get values right.
For example if you have a sun on your picture and it's 100% white - you just can't make oc 100% white. You have to make her grayish with white only on highlights or else she will be as bright as the sun.
Without lines colors will blend together and only values really matter and the best way to check values is to apply some filter that will make your work grayscale or monochromatic.
If you can see your work clearly even without any colors then it's good to go. This is why many digital artists working in grayscale and apply colors only when image is almost done.
