Shou is planning on tackling a few major tasks both for mental sanity - and for moving forward.

Things to expect, (decisions not entirely final yet):

- A second artist name. I’ll be migrating to a new name after my 2-week holiday trip. Pixiv and Twitter will likely see the name change, while dA and Tumblr(?) will keep the current name. This change is because I want a fresher start towards newer fans and communities, but I will still be happy to be called as Shou.

You may start to see the new name in conventions moving forward as well.

- New mod avatar character, to go alongside the new name.

- Interest in a mod blog is being considered for updates, rambles, and WIPs. Whether it’ll be on Tumblr or not however I’m not sure yet.

- Stream schedule will return again, maybe. I’ll be practicing better scheduling for the new year.

- Tackling art style head-on. I’m still in the middle of doing this but tl;dr I’ve been rather disappointed about the art style you’ve seen me gain over the past few years - so I’m working on new techniques, and forgetting old habits. Sorry that my art has been rather MIA because of this.

- So I’ll promise on getting at least one artwork posted a week, prob starting near the end of January or start of February. Scheduled posts at that.

Half a year old commissions not included in that count. (I’m considering refunding even ‘tho I can’t refund the fee anymore since it’s past 180 days - I’ll see what I can do before that decision - but I guess commissions really aren’t for me if I keep doing this)

Hey everyone! It’s been two months since I made a serious drawing!

So I want to quickly update everyone on what’s been up, and what my current plans are - Q&A style.

Q. Are you addicted to Maplestory 2?
A. Yes. (You'd probably have noticed it more if you follow my Tumblr)

Q. Will you ever find time to draw if you keep playing games all the time?
A. I’m slowly quitting my mobile games in favor of MS2. It’s kind of like quitting cigarettes in favor of nicotine, but it sort of works. Since I’m done with the big meat of MS2 as well, I should have a lot more time to myself starting from today.

Q. When’s the next drawing?
A. First, I have to remember how to hold a pen.

Q. What do you plan on working on for the upcoming month?
A. Well I don’t got the time to join the festivities of Halloween and so-on because I got other priorities to think about. The biggest thing is I need to whip myself for not having done any work on the commissions I accepted back in May.

During it however, for practice sake + personal interest, I’ll be drawing some more of my animu OCs. I’d love to get them more attention, but I have to give them at least my own attention first lol -

Q. What do you plan on “after” the upcoming months?
A. My current, but amazing, fanbase has been a result of mostly due to the help of My Little Pony. I want to expand my horizon more however. I’ve been drawing a few anime stuff but I haven’t really contacted many new communities yet. I’ll be looking into participating with other groups of people when I can, and I hope to expand as well for more audiences through a variety of types of works. This is a super vague answer but tl;dr I want to prove myself as relevant again heh.

Q. If you ever disappear again, how could I contact you?
A. Well, actually, I’m always around. I prefer answering questions ‘tho, as opposed to small talk so I’ll probably ignore “hai, how are you” stuff aha. You can find me on my Discord servers also (linked on my weebly)

Q. What conventions can I expect you to show up for?
A. I have nooooo clue. This is the dead holiday season, and kawaiipony2 is better at handling the more technical side of our vending experience anyways. We’ll be aiming for BronyCon’s final stretch, as well as as many US anime cons as we can try and reasonably handle both in budget and time.

Q. How poor are you?
A. Yes.

Goddang I wish I could be normal enough for a steady job >:V Being lazy is a fault of mines but I can’t meet expectations like “driving” or “socializing” or “being on time”

I understand not everyone can realize when they're being lied to, but that's okay, that's why I'm making this journal real quick.

Artists of all sorts tend to get impersonated for a variety of reasons - either to try and ride the fame of the individual, to pretend that they're the ones who created the art, or using said fame for other purposes like trying to sell cheap commissions.

The latter specifically is the case here, as I was just informed there's an Amino account using my name and is attempting to sell at $3. The $3 should have been an obvious clue but I still saw a few comments on the profile thinking the impersonator was the real deal.

I've sent in a ticket for advice on what to do about the situation to Amino and will hopefully be in contact with them over this. If anyone has any advice on how to best handle this legally then I'm all ears.

I feel bad for anyone who gets scammed by these people, you gotta be careful with these things. Just 'cause you see something on the internet doesn't immediately mean it's real. You have to check reputation, information, and so on.

Remember to report to the original artist if you're unsure about any pages you find in the wild by the way, it'll help them notice and deal with the situation, and can help imform others that they're impersonators. Thanks for helping out everyone and all y'all.
